I’ll admit I’m just a low-key explorer! Just recently we went to Italy for 2 weeks and all of the posts below are related to that trip. After I finish our Italy reviews, I will go back and delve into other locations such as Alaskan Cruise, San Francisco/Bay Area, Caribbean Cruise, Local New England Attractions and more…!
Artena & Naples (Days 8 – 11.5)
“Vedi Napoli e poi muori! — See Naples and die!”
Siena & Sloped Streets (Day 7)
Last day in Tuscany, we visit the Medieval town of Siena. (Arch rivals with Florence.)
Vino Infinito – Cinque Terre & Vineyard (Day 6)
Iconic 5 villages of Italy. Just look at those ingenious terraces onto the side of the rock formation! To end the day of sampling the famous Cinque Terre wine we also visited a vineyard in Montecarlo.
Forgetting Florence (Day 5)

Montecatini Mostly by Night (Days 4-7)
Under the Tuscan Sun… not to be confused with the Romantic Comedy movie. Our journey through Tuscany started and ended each day in the quiet town of Montecatini. We spent the longest time on our trip in Tuscany and treated ourself to a meal fit for a Princess.
Rolling Tuscany: Lucca (Day 4)
Lesser known gem of Tuscany, Lucca won us over with their surprising charm and resourcefulness. One of the most prominent features is their large wall encompassing the whole town. It’s wide enough for people to bike on!
Venice: Gondola or Go Home (Day 3)
Even though riding a Gondola is one of the most touristy activities, it’s still a must-do! We took a ferry from Murano and spent the day visiting the major historical and cultural landmarks, while inevitably getting lost in the windy streets.
Magical Murano (Days 1-2.5)
Brief overview of journey to Italy and our first stop in Murano, a lovely island of Venice. Murano is famous for their handmade artisan Venetian glass.
